Dr. Don Boggs serves as Associate Dean for Academic Programs for the College of Agriculture. was raised on a diversified grain and livestock farm in Central Illinois. He started his career on the research and teaching faculty at the University of Georgia. Boggs moved to Brookings, South Dakota in 1988 to become the Extension Beef Specialist at South Dakota State University, and in 1998 he became head of the Animal and Range Sciences Department at SDSU. Boggs returned to K-State in 2005.

In his role as Associate Dean at Kansas State, Boggs has oversight of all College of Agriculture activities related to the teaching programs. K-State Ag has approximately 2000 on-campus undergraduate students in 15 majors, and an additional 100 distance education students. The college also has 400 graduate students and offers 19 graduate degrees.
Boggs is Chair of the Executive Board of AG*IDEA, a national distance education alliance for agriculture, and he serves as Vice Chair of the Academic Committee on Policy and the Agricultural Academic Programs Section of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities. In his spare time, Boggs enjoys golf and cheering on the Wildcats!
