Animal Sciences and Industry
Prepare for a career in the animal industry as you learn about the animal industry including selection, reproduction, health, feeding, management and marketing of beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, poultry, sheep and swine, as well as the processing of animal products. Gain skills and knowledge about production, management and agribusiness.
What You’ll Study
Learn about animal nutrition, reproduction, genetics, behavior and physiology. Take courses such as fundamentals of nutrition, meat science, genetics and anatomy and physiology. Gain hands-on experiences in lab courses, part-time jobs and undergraduate research at the K-State animal units located just north of campus. Participate on one of our nine judging teams or test your knowledge in the annual academic quadrathalon.
