Learn about flour milling operations and gain a broad background of the science connected to cereal-grain milling and grain products. This century-old program at K-State is the world’s only four-year Bachelor of Science degree in milling!

What You’ll Study

Study all aspects of the grain processing industry, from grain origination to specialty milling with an emphasis on the science and technology of flour milling. Gain hands-on experience at K-State’s Hal Ross Flour Mill, a state-of-the-art pilot scale flour mill with a milling capacity of 40,000 pounds of flour per day. Take courses such as principles of milling, cereal science, flour and dough testing, and milling science laboratory.
