Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management

Student Fishing

Integrate management practices of wildlife, fisheries, natural resources, hotel/restaurant operations and business with “in-the-field” outdoor skill experiences. Prepare for a career in the hunting, fishing or wildlife industry. 


What You'll Study

Build on a foundation of wildlife management courses as you take business and operations courses preparing you to lead successful outdoor recreation businesses. Obtain a minor in business as you complete the Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management (WOEM) curriculum. Gain hands-on experiences through class trips and internships.

Study Wildlife & Outdoor Enterprise Management

WOEM is a selective admissions program, admitting around 25 students each fall. Apply and be accepted at Kansas State University and then apply for admission into the WOEM program in the spring semester prior to the fall you plan to attend.
