2025 Spring College of Agriculture Commencement Celebrations

Feed science students in millAnother school year is in the books, and we have so much to celebrate as we have added more new AgGrads to the family! Each spring, departments, clubs, organizations, competition teams, the college and the university all have various award recognitions and celebrations. We wanted to highlight a few to congratulate many for their hard work and countless hours of work toward achieving their degree completion.

2025 College of Agriculture Spring Undergraduate Commencement Ceremonies

Speaker at 2025 Spring Commencement

We were excited to celebrate with more than 330 graduating students who achieved their bachelor’s degrees and were recognized. Our keynote speaker was Dr. Ernie Minton, Eldon Gideon Dean, College of Agriculture and Director, K-State Research and Extension. As Dean Minton completes his time in his role in the coming weeks, he shared exciting highlights from the past year with graduates, thanked the families who supported them in their journey and encouraged students to focus on storytelling throughout their career. Accomplishments and hard work can only take us so far if we don’t tell the story of that work; it can be limiting. But when we help people understand the value, it amplifies the impact of our purpose. We also heard reflections from Kylie Schakel, a graduate in agricultural and natural resource communications, and Adalaide Easter, a graduate in agricultural economics and global food systems leadership with minors in leadership and international agriculture, who represented the graduating class as the student commencement speaker. Congratulations to all our graduates.

2025 Spring Undergraduate Honors Reception

We hosted the Undergraduate Honors Reception on May 16, 2025, to celebrate those students graduating with honors. Attendees heard from Dr. Dan Moser, Associate Dean and remarks from Dr. Ernie Minton, Eldon Gideon Dean, College of Agriculture and Director, K-State Research and Extension. The students were represented by Madison Bruna, an honors graduate in Animal Sciences and Industry and Annika Bhatt, an honors graduate in Food Science and Industry. Students received their honor cords and were recognized for their hard work and achievement.
