Emma Kasselman is one of K-State’s 2025 Outstanding Seniors, recognized for her leadership and impact on students' lives.

What organizations were you involved in, and what impact did they have on you?

My main involvement was in Alpha of Clovia Cooperative Leadership House. I loved my time at Clovia- I met my best friends and learned certain leadership skills I wouldn’t have anywhere else. I learned valuable life lessons around personal growth and cooperative environments.

I was also involved in the Pre-Law Ambassadors, which taught me about different opportunities in the legal field and how to prepare for law school. It taught me how to network and the importance of building a community.

What accomplishment are you most proud of during your time at K-State?

I am most proud of the work I did to get into law school. In fall 2025, I will be attending Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, KS to pursue my career in agricultural law.

What advice would you give to incoming students?

Find what you are passionate about! Then discover what career opportunities there are. K-State has so many degrees and opportunities that can support many careers. Don’t just choose a major to choose one; find something you are passionate about and pursue it!

What does being recognized as an Outstanding Senior mean to you?

The recognition of Outstanding Senior is a humbling honor. It makes me realize the behind-the-scenes work I did throughout my undergrad was appreciated and recognized.

I was nominated for this award for my position within the pre-law department. I worked for two years in the pre-law office, enhancing their communication methods and meeting with current and prospective students to showcase the opportunities there are for pre-law students at K-State.
