Bakery Science and Management
Bakery Science students learn how ingredients and processing techniques impact the texture, flavor and final attributes of baked goods. Through course work, internship experiences and hands-on lab applications, Bakery Science and Management students rise to meet the challenge of feeding the hungry world.

Students gain a first-hand look at the baking industry and allied trades while gaining valuable, practical experiences through paid internships and industry partnerships.
The Bakery Science Club is one of the most popular university clubs where members meet to bake products. Proceeds help students fund attendance to industry conferences, visiting bakery facilities and community service projects. Top students in Bakery Science are invited to be members of Alpha Mu, the grain science honorary.
Hands On Experience
Students receive hands-on training at our pilot bakery, cereal chemistry and baking laboratories, physical flour and dough-testing laboratory and related research facilities.
