Diversified Agriculture
Diversified Agriculture provides students a broad base in all areas of agriculture while allowing them to focus on a concentration in their area of interest. This option is ideal for incoming students who want a broad degree, those who have changed agriculture majors one or more times and students transferring in lower-division courses that are from more broad-based curricula in agriculture. Diversified agriculture is designed to be flexible for career interests and timely completion. This degree is available both online and in person.
Concentrations
A student will complete a concentration typically from one program within agriculture. Concentrations are generally 4 to 5 classes related to a specific agriculture pathway. Cross-pathway concentrations, such as global food systems may also be considered.
Involvement
Manhattan campus students have the opportunity to be part of a variety of clubs and organizations that cater to their interests in agriculture. The diversified agriculture major is ideal for student-athletes and others who have time-intensive campus commitments due to its flexibility.

Hands On Experience
Like all agriculture majors, diversified agriculture incorporates both classroom and lab work in order to give students a well-rounded experience. Whether you complete the degree in Manhattan, Garden City, Olathe or online, expect an education that blends theoretical concepts with practical application based on real-world situations.
