Feed and Pet Food Science

Feed and Pet Food Science offers both classroom and hands-on learning covering topics including pet food production and extrusion, feed processing and pelleting, animal nutrition, feed quality and safety and grain handling.

Feed and Pet Food Science students have the opportunity to work in the feed mill gaining valuable real-world, hands-on experience. The Feed Science Club provides hands-on opportunities to manufacture and market feed products. Top students in Feed Science are invited to be members of Alpha Mu, the grain science honorary. Students also participate in a yearly trip to the International Production and Processing Expo in Atlanta, GA.
