Food Science and Industry

Students in Food Science and Industry study all aspects of the global food system including the chemical and physical makeup of food products, harvesting and processing, food safety and quality, new product development and global food demand. Students receive excellent training in science, technology and business to prepare them for exciting careers in the food industry, academia or government.

The Food Science Club is a student organization for both undergraduate and graduate students majoring in food science or having an interest in food science. The club brings students together for activities focused around both professional development and social interaction.

Institute of Food Technologists Approval

K-State's nationally-recognized undergraduate Food Science and Industry program is approved by the Institute of Food Technologies (IFT).
