Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management

This four-year university program was the first Bachelor of Science degree created to train professional managers for hunting/shooting preserves and resorts, habitat management companies, fishing resorts, state and federal agencies and outdoor experience companies.

Internships

Students in the Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management program must complete an internship. These can vary widely in focus and geography such as guiding exotic hunts in New Zealand, fly fishing services in Georgia, shotgun sports services in Kansas and elsewhere, managing big-game ranches in Texas and working for state and federal wildlife and fisheries agencies.

Involvement

Students in our program form a tight-knit community. Students can participate in our Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management Club, the Shooting Sports Club, the Fly Fishing Club, the student chapter of The Wildlife Society and many other campus-sponsored programs.
