At the College of Agriculture, we are not just a place where you come to earn your degree or show up for work. We are alarger community, an AgCat family.

This family began in 1863 with the founding of Kansas State Agricultural College. KSAC has since morphed to Kansas State University and the College of Agriculture and our family has grown for more than 160 years.

Why a family? Because we are more than just students, faculty, staff and alumni. We are part of a larger community all working to support each other and the greater College of Agriculture family.

We provide hands-on learning experiences for students, including working with top-notch professors and conducting research that serves Kansans and people all around the world. We are graduating real-world-ready students who become passionate alums.

Meet our AgCats and learn more about this thriving family.

Our alumni grow into their careers, working across the food and agriculture industry. They may work on the next new cut of meat to take the industry by storm, in sorghum fields to test labs in industry-leading food companies or help navigate the ever-changing landscape of risk management strategies across grains or livestock.

No matter an AgCat's area of focus or where they are in their educational journey or their career, they are part of a network larger than themselves. They are filled with purple pride and focused on supporting a next-generation land-grant university that continues to focus on teaching, research and Extension.
